Grissom is the night-shift or grave-yard shift supervisor of the Las Vegas Crime Lab.
He is a forensic entomologist and has earned the nick name “The Bug Man.” He has a keen interest in literature
including Shakespeare which he frequently quotes and Sherlock Holmes. He is however also obsessed with roller-coasters and
completing cross-words. Grissom being a very private person does not often confide in his colleagues and so little is known
of his childhood. However we do know he grew up in California, with his mother. His father died when he was
nine and his mother was deaf. This is how Grissom learned sign-language.
